It’s amazing just how incredibly versatile Little Venus are. The female vocalist Irina Simoneta, who originally comes from Triest, convinces with her intensity and naturalness. Andreas Kuehnrich doesn’t need any electronic sound effects; he simply lures the surprising sounds out of his cello. Guitarist Marc Rossier, who writes most of the songs, conjures up an astounding variety of sound patterns.
