Traditional Celtic sounds are infused with the deeper resonance of E-bow guitar, fret-less bass, keyboards and infectious rhythms. Capturing the sense of ritual and mystery of the ancient celebrations that mark the turning of time, this album has a universal appeal. Throughout the recording the arrangements echo images of these mystic rituals, the track Samhain starts with three powerful notes echoing the image of a druid sounding the magical horn. Beltaine marked the return of the power of the fire festival, as the Green Man releases the spirit of summer. Just as the sun on the dawn of the solstice gives light to the shadows. Phil Thornton's music brightens the spirit and empowers the listener with its magic.
