YA TATCHI is the first trumpet player of his native country, the Republic of Congo, who establishes himself on an international level in Africa, Europe and Asia. He perfected his play in Pointe-Noire, performing with different dance and show orchestras as well as in Jazz workshops organized by the French Cultural Center. After several years of playing in club and bars in Africa and Europe, he developed and enhanced his talents also as a composer, arranger and singer. Known and well-connected in the Jazz scene of Rabat, Ya Tatchi succeeded in mobilizing talents and fusing energies from both sides of the Sahara. To the delight of the well-informed music lovers, he has created several formations, uniting Moroccan musicians and Sub-Saharan African musicians living in Rabat in musical exile. The Project Jazz'n BAR sprang up from these encounters of Sub-Saharan and Moroccan rhythms. Situated halfway between Europe and Black Africa, Rabat is the ideal starting point for this project of which the first important stage was to create a CD, a real calling card for the newly established group of musicians who came from different corners of the continent and covering great distances in order to meet on the playing field of this cross-cultural Jazz, a pluralistic Jazz where all halftones are present. Apart from his career as a musician, Ya Tatchi organizes big events such as the gala dinner at the Eiffel Tower in Paris for the "Salon Mondial du Chocolat" or the festival "la FÃªte Ã Ndjindji", which he has organized every summer for the last three years in his natal Pointe-Noire.
