Nubian Travels
It never rains in Nubia - it just comes pouring down the Nile. Up the cataracts of the river Nile Mahmoud Fadl drums his way south. On board are his fellow masterdrummers Gaafar Hargal and Hamdi Matoul and Nubian wedding diva Salma. Join their travels back to the rhythms of ancient Nubia, drowned in Lake Nasser ever since the day the region was flooded in the early Sixties. Follow the Nubian sounds on their exodus to the Suez Canal, the Nuba mountains, Cairo and Khartoum - even to the clubs of the West, where his "United Nubians" are spreading the message of the eternal "Black Pharaohs".
