Debut solo album, Jake Shulman-Ment displays a remarkable versatility as violinist, composer, improvisor, arranger, bandleader, and producer, while consistently remaining true to his deep roots in traditional Jewish music. Also featured on the album are 3 vocal pieces, one sung by Shulman-Ment, the other two by rising star Yiddish singer Benjy Fox-Rosen.
A lushly virtuosic, sensitive klezmer violin album featuring original compositions, fresh improvisations, raucous and reflective vocals, and Gypsy-influenced melodies, performed by some of New York's top klezmer musicians.
