Deva Premal & the Gyuto Monks of Tibet invite us on a powerful, deeply moving musical journey. This unique and stunning album features Deva and the monks, chanting eight of the most potent Tibetan mantras, in the traditional style of 108 rounds. It is conceived to inspire and support us in our meditation practice.
Tibetan Mantras for Turbulent Times arose from Deva’s personal desire to chant with the Gyuto Monks of Tibet. Their incredible voices, merging together in an intense masculine/feminine Tantric wave, infused with such a deep immersion into the holy Sound, create the perfect tool for personal mantra practice.
Deva and the monks are accompanied by Grammy Award winning cellist, David Darling, and Californian keyboard wizard, Kit Walker, co-producer of Deva’s Love is Space and Embrace albums. Nepalese maestro and Deva & Miten’s stage partner, Manose is also featured on bansuri.

Proceeds of this CD are directed to the Gyuto Monastery in Dharamsala, India, the Phowa Project and Veggiyana.
